PvP arena ~ quitters
Just a suggestion ive had from some very frustrating pvp play over the last week or so ~
Make it so that you can not leave your party while in game on pvp.
Ive had at least 3 out of 5 groups consistently with 1-2 people that die then quit straight away, any smart pvper will at least carry one res regardless of there build let them res you dont just quit cause you are stupid.
anyone agree?

Please run a search on this, as there've been numerous topics about it.
Problems include the game being unable to see the difference between a forced restart of your PC and a legitamate disconnect. People would not be happy for being punished for things they had no control over.
And, you can emulate force disconnects easily. Internet lock on your firewall simulates connectivity loss, and pulling the plug on your machine is the same as power outage.
I suggest you make some friends in-game and try Team Arenas and see if it's to your liking. Then you can also attempt to dictate what you believe to be best in people's builds. (This is a minor slight to your opinion about resurrection signets. There're some guilds that require monks not to bring a resurrect at all, for example. The reasoning behind that is generally that if someone dies, it's them, and they're the ones needing the resurrect; and if they're resurrecting, such as in 8 vs 8 combat with 3 monks in your team, if one's dead and another is reviving, only 1 is left to take care of the entire team. If one of your damage dealers does the resurrection instead, you only suffer a temporary reduction in damage output, which can always be re-applied. More deaths are far more problematic.)
If you make sweeping insults to people like you're doing now "any smart person", I have a feeling they may feel that a little faction is not worth sticking around to take the abuse.
Most likely though, you didn't intend to make such a statement, and you're just frustrated with dealing with people new to PvP (Or experimenting with odd builds.). As I'd said, if it's the people you have a problem with, then there's always the Team Arena, and you can sort things out before-hand.

That's clearly not the situation the OP spoke of. He's saying they quit as soon as they die. Also people who quit as soon as they don't like the group composition is bad for the game.
As far as your guild is concerned, these arenas have 3 minute rounds, there's also at least 10 seconds after a win before a new match is started. Quit there to join your guild to show some decency and respect. It's not like they're in the middle of a GvG match and you can jump in mid-match. There's nothing that can't wait a max of 3 minutes, usually 1-2.

This isn't a good idea. I don't want to be stuck with a moron warrior who casts fireballs or lightning orbs, a ranger with firestorm and flare, a necro/mesmer who's only skill is conjure phantasm, a monk who uses mending on everyone, and so on....
Concerning death, if someone keeps on using Rebirth to rez me, why the hell would I be forced to stay in his party ?!

I've had matches where the timer started at 5 seconds, and once just as I had said I was done for the night that popped up at 3 seconds. I ended up sticking out the next match and quitting as soon as we killed the last person, and missed the win faction, just I wouldn't end up with such a short timer again.

end the things that primarily make people leave: dont allow players that are not lvl20 into the arenas. Delete the dumb lava map.
